EPS/foam CNC mills typically have larger work sizes and are used for engraving and cutting large-sized workpieces in wood, aluminum, and foam plastic. It can also be equipped with ATC spindle and slewing device to achieve complex, heavy-load and long-term work. It is widely used for processing carved wood and Styrofoam automobile, ship or other molds, as well as GRG or GRC decorations and architectural models.

When designing the tool path, you can choose to automatically generate a machining depth change program and use the tool to complete it. However, sometimes because the area between the two lines of the pattern is relatively large or the strokes in the working area are relatively thick, it will not work. It will produce a so-called of “islands”, which requires making paths while appropriately increasing the overlap rate.

The processing “isolated island” of wood CNC engraving machine software. There are two main processing methods: island processing and continuous processing.

The so-called island process is the end milling process using the above method for certain ineffective areas. When end milling is specified, its “overlap percentage” should be defined.

Continuous processing refers to using the above-mentioned plane milling area as the initial plane to continue three-dimensional processing. The actual carved depth may be greater than the designed depth, but it cannot exceed the height of the blade plus the handle. You can modify processing parameters such as the appropriate picking angle distance, picking angle distance, and three-dimensional gap angle during processing. When machining large objects or using rough tools, the pick angle distance can be increased accordingly. In general, it is recommended to use the default value of 0.1 mm. The distance between corners is too small, and too many times may cause corners, which will affect the actual processing effect of the CNC woodworking milling machine.

Fourth-axis CNC machines have only three feed axes (X, Y, Z). The Y axis can be manually replaced with a rotation axis. Only three axes can be linked at most. In terms of usage, it can mill planes, reliefs, and cylinders.

A 4-axis CNC machine tool has four feed axes (X, Y, Z, A) and can only perform three-axis simultaneous processing. It can mill and cut flat surfaces, reliefs, cylinders and irregular 3D shapes.

The four-axis linkage automatic machine tool has four feed axes (X, Y, Z, A), which can be processed through four-axis linkage. It can mill planes, reliefs, cylinders, irregular three-dimensional shapes, and process supplementary angle 3D models.

Five-axis CNC machine tools are multi-axis 3D CNC machining centers. Usually five-axis linkage refers to the linear interpolation motion of any five coordinates in X, Y, Z, A, B, and C.

In other words, the five-axis refers to the three motion axes of X, Y, and Z plus any two rotation axes.
